First Holy Communion 2024
In June this year, children in Year 3,4,5 received the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time in a special Mass. As is tradition at St Mary's, the children led us in a very special Celebration of the Word and families were invited for tea and cake afterwards. Congratulations to all our children!

First Holy Communion 2023
Throughout May and June, children in Year 3,4,5 and 6 recieved the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time in a special Mass. To celebrate this wonderful occasion, as is tradition at St Mary's, we held a special assembly for the children, where they got to come into school wearing their outfit and celebrate with cake and squash afterwards.

On the 20th and 21st November 2021, Y4, 5 and 6 children had a very special time celebrating receiving the Sacrament of the Eucharist at St Mary’s Church with their families and friends. To celebrate this special moment in their lives, the children came into school on Friday, dressed in their beautiful Holy Communion outfits to take part in a special assembly. It was a beautiful and moving celebration and we made sure there was plenty of tea and cake afterwards to celebrate with their families. Here are a selection of photographs of the day.

In June 2022, children in Year 3, 4 5 and 6 received Jesus for the first time at St Mary's Church. To celebrate this very special Sacrament, the children had a special assembly where they could come into school wearing their First Holy Communion outfit and have a celebration of tea and cake afterwards.
