Enabling Communion

How do we get people to work together?

Our school, parish and wider community work together to ensure that Christ is celebrated, shared, proclaimed and lived, where everyone is welcomed and valued, and all have a sense of responsibility for the life of the community and the world.

‘You are the light of the world, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven’ (Matthew 5:14-16).

What are we doing to Enable Communion in school? Plans for 2021-2022

  • Ensure we have a current and up to date chaplaincy team. Ensure we have a range of chaplains across all phases throughout the school who take an active role in chaplaincy, overseen by our School Chaplain, Mrs Fernandes.
  • Form a new Chaplaincy Council to assist in the organisation of the chaplaincy team, which is ever growing- Vote members in; Meet regularly; Monitor collective worship.
  • Invite all cluster schools within the Samuel Partnership to take part in the stations of the Cross Service.
  • Organise a ‘Arts Week on Care for Creation’ week- COP26.
  • Organise an afternoon Tea for the Saint Vincent Paul group.
  • Month of May – Organise a Rosary procession with cluster schools.
  • Involve whole school community in the planning and development of the school orchard in memory of Executive Headteacher.
